'Dhanush adjusts his dates for me''

Cinematographer Velraj is a popular cameraman who has worked in films like Aadukalam, Polladhavan and Ethir Neechal to name a few. He is getting into direction with Velaiyilla Pattathari (VIP) with Dhanush as the hero and producer. While talking about his project, Velraj is mighty floored by the Aadukalam hero who is responsible for his directorial dreams to come true.

“Dhanush does not know about my ideas to turn into a director. On a casual basis when I narrated the one liner of VIP, he immediately said he would be the hero and producer too. He has given me a huge responsibility of his 25^th film and I simply don’t have words to express my thanks”, Velraj recounts with a lot of gratitude.

When questioned about his continuing cinematography, Velraj says that he is working as a cinematographer in Vai Raaja Vai and Poriyaalan along with VIP and Dhanush has been so kind enough to adjust his dates to enable Velraj to work in those films. He states, “It would have been difficult for me to ride two horses at the same time. But, thanks to Dhanush, I am able to do that as he has adjusted his dates so that my job goes smooth”.
